As a teenager or young adult, you are still discovering and trying to understand what is this world about, you could have already found some hidden gems of knowledge on your life’s journey.
Or you can be completely lost without any clue to where you are going or what you’re doing…
Worse yet is trying to learn the rules of life and success in this world while fighting some deep feelings of sadness, worthiness, not belonging and loneliness.
The thing about depression is that it makes us think like there’s nothing more than to get drowned in this feeling of hopelessness and emptiness that we believe is the fight is pointless.
Let me ask you this, is it really pointless to fight depression? Couldn’t that be a lie?
As a teenager or a young adult, you are pretty much at the start of life, still discovering who is the person in front of the mirror, still trying to make sense of all the noise in the world.
I cannot say what or who you are, (I guess nobody can or should) because that’s something we need to find by ourselves.
What I can say with 100% certainty is that you are not your Depression!
With that said, there’s one more question I’d like you to reflect on.
Why Do You Have To Fight Depression?
No one can construct for you the bridge upon which precisely you must cross the stream of life, no one but you yourself alone.”
